RE: LDAP Schema: Failed to create replica of schema database on LDAP server ~Kirk Dwotooburikle 10.Jul.03 02:26 AM a Web browser Domino Server 6.0.1Windows 2000
Thanks Aditya Wresniya,
I run the command 'tell ldap exportschema' you provided, but the message 'Command or option is not recognized' is returned. Then, I search the LDAP Tell commands from Lotus Domino Administrator 6 Help, only 'Quit', 'ReloadSchema', 'Showconfig', 'Showconfig Debug', and 'VerfiyDIT' are allowed but not 'exportschema'.
May I explain more in detail:
A new process called the schema daemon, spawned by the LDAP service, creates the new Schema database on the administration server for the Domino Directory. However, our administration server would not run LDAP service, so no schema database is created on administration server to replicate to other (subordinate) servers in the domain that run the LDAP service. However, our subordinate server can't create/replicate the schema database.
My question are:
1. Does LDAP service work functionally if there is no schema database on subordinate server?
2. Does administration server not run LDAP service but subordinate server run LDAP service?
3. How can I remove the following errors?
08/07/2003 17:23:58 LDAP Schema: Failed to create replica of schema database on LDAP server: (subordinate server) from admin server: (administration server)!
